This policy covers ignitebook.co and the emails we send to readers who sign up there.
ignitebook.co is run by Alexandra Swan, who writes as Arden Vale. “We” in this policy means her.

Email sign-up. When you join the Arden Vale email list, we keep your email address and the date you signed up. We also note which form on the site you used.
Contact form. When you write to us through the contact page, we keep your name, your email address and your message in a table in Airtable. We read them there and use them to reply. They are not added to the email list, and the form sends no email.
Site analytics. We use Google Analytics to count visits. It sets cookies and records the pages you view, your browser and device, and an approximate location based on your IP address. We see reports about visits, not names or email addresses. You can block these cookies in your browser settings.
Hosting. Vercel hosts this site. Like any web host, it processes your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and protect the site.
We do not take payments on this site. If you buy Ignite from Amazon, Amazon handles your details under its own privacy notice. We do not receive them.
We do not sell your information. We do not use it to send emails for anyone else.
If you are in the EU or UK: the email list relies on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing. Hosting and replies to your messages rely on our legitimate interest in running the site and answering you.

These companies may store information outside Australia, including in the United States. Each one handles it under its own terms and privacy policy.
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. Use it, or email hello@ignitebook.co, and we stop within 5 working days.
After you unsubscribe, we keep your address, the form you used and the date you signed up, marked as unsubscribed, so we do not email you again. If you want it deleted too, ask us.
Email hello@ignitebook.co from the address you signed up with. Tell us whether you want a copy of what we hold, a correction, or deletion. We reply within 30 days.
Deletion removes your address from the email list and from the contact table. Resend keeps a short record of emails already sent, under its own retention rules.
We keep sign-up details until you ask us to delete them. After you unsubscribe, we keep only the address, the form you used and the sign-up date, marked as unsubscribed. We keep contact messages for as long as we need them to deal with your message.
The email list is for people 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you tell us someone under 16 has signed up, we delete their address.
